Overspeed Trip is actually a solo musical venture blending original rock, blues, folk and alternative sounds created by Gord The Red. Earthy rock with an eclectic mix!

All instruments composed and recorded by myself but at times I brought in different drummers to bring my energetic and soulful compositions to life. With a passion for authentic expression and genre-blending, Overspeed Trip delivers powerful, heartfelt music that resonates with a wide audience.

5 releases on Spotify so far from the album From Windrows to Stardust with the song “40 Years” championing Hypeddits Top 100 Blues Chart sitting at #1 for over 15 weeks straight now! 40 Years features a wrenching trumpet solo I wrote on my keyboard and had an online trumpet player record for me (AC Trumpet). Another blues song Epitaph claims the #14 spot.

Influenced by blues, early rock, later rock, alternative and even has metal and country music represented, this album is a great example of the melting pot of western civilization. Patsy Cline meets Metallica performed by Audioslave. A Gretsch resonator guitar completes the theme and powers and supplies continuity for the entire album.
